Certified Translation

A certified Portuguese or English translation of a document is always done as a hard copy and is stamped and signed. You may choose to have it sent to a UK address of your choice or to collect it in person in Bermondsey (SE1).

You will receive both the translated document and a certification statement asserting the completeness and accuracy of the translation.

It is very important to have both the translated version and the original when presenting/serving the document.

Typical documents include (but are not limited to):

• School and university certificates and transcripts

• Documents to be served in court;

• Medical certificates and reports;

• Birth, marriage and death certificates;

• Witness statements;

• Immigration and visa documents.

You will usually need a certified translation if you have documents to serve in three main contexts:

• Public bodies and government (immigration, local authorities, etc.)

• Law (court cases, police, etc.)

• Academic (diplomas, transcripts, etc.)

Turnaround time can be as short as 24h (contingent on number of words and complexity).

Depending on your urgency, you may ask to receive a PDF of the signed/stamped file so you’ll have an electronic version of it to upload immediately.

Rates are contingent on complexity, number of words, and availability.

To get a quote, you will need to send your document specifying the address it will be sent and the deadline.

Work is commenced upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of 50%. The other 50% is due upon completion of the work.

Payment method accepted: bank transfer.

Documents are always sent via Second Class Royal Mail to a UK address free of charge.
