In this (hybrid) event, a small group of people got together in London to hear from Brazilian environment defender Angela Mendes and others. A few details:

• Some of them were bilingual and did not use the equipment, so they just listened to the floor.

• The ones who spoke only Portuguese or English had earpieces and choose what language to listen to.

  Everyone was allowed to speak in their language of choice and hear the live interpretation, which meant they had an opportunity to interact and not miss a single reaction, or feeling throughout.

• And oh, we, the interpreters, stood in the back of the room, and were as unobtrusive as possible.
